For better or worse, I get to travel the world for my job. When it comes to visiting Asia, it seems it is the place to go for white guys that didn't get laid in high school. I mean seriously, are all expats the creepiest white dudes around? I've seen them in all asian countries, and they might as well be wearing a Pedo-Bear T-shirt.

Anyway, any normal people in Seoul that would like to hang out? I'm free Sunday and Monday evening. First time here. Watch out for the NORK's!!

What did you hate about Malaysia? Not offended, just curious. Islamic shit? The food is amazing if you know which hawkers to go to, places to go in KL or other cities.

I've been to Kl, and a lot of smaller places. KL is probably the most liberal, with ladyboys etc, but for the most part it sure as hell wasn't like Thailand. Sure some creepy ex-pats, but for the most part not that bad. Hell Australia has plenty of creepy ex-pats as well.

Agree whole-heartedly about the Korean women. They all seem to be very conscious about their looks and follow European fashion trends more than American women. If I had gone their when I was an E1 or E2 instead of an E5 or E6, I'd probably be married to someone who'd serve kimchee several times per week.

As far as the ex-pats go, the ones I got to know were there for business, representing US companies in joint ventures. Guess maybe the location you run into those expats makes a difference. Seoul and other hotspots, your observation is likely true. Down country in Taegu and the other industrial cities, not so much.

The majority of ex-pats I've run into across the world were anything from adventurers, reporters, stinky hippies trying to relive their 60's glory days, a Green Beret who went native from too many FID missions, hairy Canadian women teaching english to trust fund babies, etc.

I have a friend from high school who runs a language school in Seoul and apparently does quite well for himself. I wouldn't say he's one of those creepy fucks who couldn't get a girl stateside.

I can't blame someone who would want to experience other cultures and live somewhere different, but, I like too many of the rights and freedoms we have here, than to be a subject or outsider in another country. I loves me some 'Merica!

Having just returned from Thailand, all I can say is that it's all for sale.

Even the most beautiful women working in my hotel where available for a price, they just want a chance to go to the 'Big BX".

It's not just American ex-pats, older men from all over the West are going East to find two things, young attractive women, and a good time that they can afford on their retirement.

Western men are fed up with Western women and feminism, they want a cheap piece of young poon, that treats them like a god.

Worst I've seen is still Angeles in the Philippines- more creepy old dudes per block than Thailand (and that's saying something in certain areas). Singpaore is great but if you're paying for it you're not hitting the four floors of whores on the right day. Very strict rules and they do enforce them. I love Malaysia and would move back there in a heartbeat. There is prostitution but the fines can be pretty heavy; get caught with a minor and you're in a world of trouble. They also have the death penalty for drugs and they use it fairly regularly. Loved Laos and would move there too- while you can pick up women there, get caught and you're looking at fines and possibly getting kicked out of the country; get caught shacking up outside of Vientiane, Luang Prabang or Thakhek and you may get worse. They also have the death penalty for drugs although they're common, especially in Vang Vieng (lots of crooked cops there). Limited experience with Korea but the college girls seemed to be interested in discovering all things western.

Nothing wrong with wanting a younger woman who makes you feel more alive. Love and relationships are seen a bit differently in many areas of the world- think of them more in terms of security. That's not always the case though and it's not just the young uneducated that engage in such behavior either; they are often looking for something that they don't get in their own country- same as western men. Many don't like the way men in their own countries treat women and western men "put them on a pedestal" so to speak.

Used to go to PI a lot (Navy). It was a favorite stop for the "lovelorn". Funny thing about those guys is that the street tarts and barfines could pick 'em out 10 jeepney's and 3 chicken feet stands down the road. When we'd get underway after a week in Subic they'd be all giddy and half-married. We'd fuck with 'em and ask 'em what 7th Fleet tasted like. They'd always have the same story, "I met her at church" or "She didn't work in a bar" or "She said she was a virgin". Sometimes they'd marry them and bring 'em back to Japan and sure enough when the ships would go out the Subic Wives Swap Meet would assemble at the A-Club and they'd take some squid home and fuck 'em for free.
