Since I'm perma banned from the AR forums (I was framed I tells ya) I posted this here.

Para has a piston model with a folding stock.

Why can't a piston AR have a stock like an MP5?

Doesn't the bolt carrier still need to go somewhere and be pushed back?

PARA has a very short BCG and a long rod that engages the piston.

Zitta developed a system for a piston-driven AR upper with a forward-mounted action spring that required no buffer in the stock.  It's been marketed by several companies throughout the last couple decades... most recently I believe by Para Ordnance.

Because only retards buy piston ARs.

They make a folding AR buffer tube that takes any normal stock but it won't fire folded. Personally I'm a fan of the Bradley crew weapon style setup for a folding AR stock.

LOSER!!

There are quite a few gas piston AR systems that don't use a buffer tube.
