Hello,

I'm looking to get training in Massachusetts so i can own firearms.  I can get an FID easier than a license, but which one should i go after?  I want to get the least restrictive as possible, but the FID is easier and requires no signatures.

does anyone shoot in MA and can offer advice?

thanks,

Drive on up to NH to the SIG Arms Academy, they will instill more than just training you'll have real knowledge when you leave.

Weidertc,

I, too, can recommend the Sig Academy.  I've trained with them 4 times now, with a fifth course in three weeks.  They have excellent staff and a nice facility; you'll get your money's worth.

I can't comment on the MA FID/LTC dilemma as I don't live in Mass, but it seems to me that you'd be better off with the LTC.  Another forum to read is www.NortheastShooters.com  They have lots of info on Mass rules.

Good luck and good shooting.
