This is the real reason why Canadians are crossing the border to buy milk in milk jugs. They are secretly making milk jug plates for their evil red and white ghost rifles inside their igloos.

A $15 Home Depot crooked drill press vise holds side plates made out of milk jugs at an unknown angle, presumably at 87 degrees. Just need to stick something in the bottom if the plates are made using Ray Brandes design to keep them from tilting inward and fucking up everything before it's too late. 
Neighbors love this sound even more than they love "Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii" Also the lower won't fit on a drill press table, that's why you should loot all gym equipment that somebody's soon-to-be-divorced wife (when he finds out) just threw out to the dumpster. If you haven't made side plates yet, also loot VCRs and plasma TVs to make molds for smelting milk jugs. Plasma TVs also have awesome parts to feed to your arduinos.

I did it without even going to Walmart. The tap kept rotating the lower until I told it "YOU WILL NOT TOUCH MY GUN" and put that bolt in a nut in a bolt and a piece of wood (patent pending). I might have drilled that hole a bit too tight with that awesome $3 28mm holesaw instead of a $29.99 proper drill, or something. When I tapped it with a giant wrench I applied ludicrous amounts of force and thought it would crack at the tang. Click To View Spoiler

Drilling this hole was 10 times easier than inserting the fucking bolt catch pin and I used an IDE cable connector as a drill guide!!! What the fuck???? Finished lower 
I cut the bolt catch slot too deep because the caliper has a notch at .250 so I measured .250 twice and kept going. The hole for the spring had to move down. I also drilled the tang radius with that 28mm holesaw instead of 38mm lol. Now I just have to cut in half and then throw it down the driveway

Looking at the disorganization in your pictures, I will stick with my mill and DRO's
By the way, that is not a 0% lower, last time I checked, some called that a 40% lower, a 0% is simply a block of aluminum. Attached File |
| I'm not going to give you shit for trying something new. From the pictures looks like you successfully completed it. I do wonder if the fire control pocket being askew will give you trouble though but I think you can make it work even if it is too far out of wack. |
