| Tried it and actually was faster and more accurate at close range. I focused on the target, at ten feet, and unloaded my steel J frame into the bullseye as fast as I could pull the trigger. Stunned, I repeated the feat. I then picked up my cooling P7M8 and did the same. I never thought that I could be effective ignoring the front sight, but at close range, this really works well. This really showed me the value of the muscle memory I've developed from indexing. I'm going to integrate this technique into my practice regimen. |

One handed? Two Handed? Shooting from the hip, just below the eyeline or somewhere in between? From retention position? The reason that I'm asking is that there are many different types of shooting that get called point shooting. Some are pretty useful skills to have. Some are not so useful. It is an eye opener to see how quickly you can shoot without your vision slowing you down. Gringop |
Two handed isosceles. I noticed that my FS was below eye level, handgun angled slightly upward. |
