| i just got back from my CCW class and wow, i didnt realize it was that long a process, after a shoot.............kinda upsetting as far as defending yourself and then having to justify it. anyway it was a great class and i cant wait for my permit to come in the mail! |

Congrats, now continue on with your training so you can become and stay proficient with it. Look around in your area for a formal class that will add to your skills and awareness. Advanced training should follow soon there after. I only wished that my training and deployment schedule allowed me to take this course this year. I'll keep trying!! Click here |

That was one of the major reasons I got into shooting regularly. My husband insisted that I get my CCW. Although I was familiar with my firearm, I was NOT proficient or confident in any way in my ability to defend myself. During the legal portion of the class I realized exactly what responsiblities fell to me and decided that if I was going to carry it was mandatory that I be proficient. I have had to pull my weapon to defend myself twice since I began shooting. Neither time did my finger ever touch the trigger. Had I not trained and practiced diligently I cannot say I would have handled either of those situations as confidently as I did. Stay safe. |
