What is the narrowist front sight you can have on an AR15?

My friend uses a .038" NM post from WOA (I think that is where he got it); it was the narrowest he could find.

I used to use a .036,, but then my eyes got old. Now I use a .038. 'Borg

I'm looking for a wider one than the .072" or the standard battle sight. Old eyes and center of mass hold.

I've had to wear glasses for any type of shooting the last 1 1/2yrs. The center of the target still looks like a baseball on a ruler, which I think is contributing to my left an d rights.

std mil sight is .072"

.050 is suposed to be as wide as the aiming black. I shot a .040 on an Armalite till last year, now I have a .038 on a WOA.
