| How should a shooting jacket fit. I just got mine and it mite be one size to big. |
|
You have to be shitting me! I was about to post the same thing. Thats is crazy. What jacket did you buy? I got a CC cloth in OD green. It is a 46-48 and may be little loss in the back. When buying my dress uniform a 46 would not let me raise my arms. I guess everything runs different. I am also thicker in my chest than my torso so the bottom is baggy. I will probably have my mother take the latches over an inch or two. Its nice have someone who sews for a second job. |
| Usually you should order a size smaller. Im a 48 and I had to order a 46 from Creedmoor. Also you should size it with a heavy sweat shirt unerneath too.. The jacket should feel almost like you wearing a coat that is almost solid material rather than fabric. As for beig uncomfortable, yes and no. Uncomfortable that it should limit your motion when in offhand but comfortable that you are not in any pain. |
Same here. I wear a heavy sweatshirt to help with the comfort of the coat. it also keeps the coat from getting sweated up in the summer. As for your offhand scores, dry fire, dry fire, dry fire. When you are done, dry fore some more. There are some really good techniques and you can search the plethora of NM shooting forums to fiind what works for you. I usually shoot in the low to mid 90's offhand, infact today I scored a 93-1X in the OH portion of the match.. The jacket is one factor in the HP equation, practice and technique are a few more. Yuo will figure what works for you as you go further.. |
| Even with the a sweatshirt and the straps as tigth as they will go it feels like a nice hug from your mom not a bear hug. Champion Shooters supply said I could return it for a different size. I think I will send it next day tomorrow and I should have a another by Friday. Thanks for the help. |
