I got my NRA Pistol Instructor rating last year, just finished NRA Rifle Instructor and RSO courses, and I'm in for NRA Shotgun and Personal Protection in the Home Instructor courses coming up soon.
What other good open enrollment instructor development courses are there that you would recommend? It doesn't have to be directly firearms-related. Thanks. |

For how to teach I've heard good things about the Tactical Response, Rangemaster & ICE Combat Focus instructor courses. I don't have any personal experience with them though.
The CSAT Tactical Pistol Instructor course is more oriented toward teaching that particular program as opposed to a more general instructor course. Depending on what you're looking for there should be a local college with a psych department that teaches a learning course that'll dig a little deeper into how different populations learn, the process, etc. |

I took Rangemaster this spring and i really enjoyed it Part of what he teaches is the use of force doctrine. that is hard to get elsewhere. We also shot the FBI instructor course for our qualification course.
Very good well worth the $$$ Scott www.centerfiretraining.com |

Rangemaster in Memphis. Tom does an instructor's course and an advanced instructor's course.
I've taken both and highly recommend his school. He also brings in other instructor's. I took an edged weapons course there taught by Shivwork's Craig Douglas. It changed my life. |
