How exactly do you make one occur? I can't figure it out, even though I've had one when I was at the range once.
Any ideas? Google wasn't very helpful. |

| Make sure you are only engaging the bolt carrier and not the actual bolt. Pushing on the bolt will cause it to want to rotate and that may cause a lot of resistance, though I'm not sure about that. You should be able to just grab the edge of the carrier and move it back, even with just a finger. |

We should probably have a place where we can show new users what these malfunctions are and the different methods used to correct them. It's a popular question... just throwing it out there. ETA: If you want to stage a designed bolt override, it's pretty easy: Clear and lock the weapon. Drop a dummy round into the chamber. Invert the rifle and drop another round into the charging handle channel, basically the bottom of the charging handle. Hit the bolt release. ETA (really): So a recap, I just quoted myself as an edit and now I'm editing it because I'm a dumbass. Good grief I'm tired. |
