So I'll be in Saratoga this weekend with the woman and happened to notice there's a gun show going on as well. I know you guys have it pretty rough but can't find much about out of staters buying in NY. Not really looking for anything in particular and I assume that pistols/long arms are still the same rules but what about reloading components, ammo, etc? Is this a new show or an annual thing? Is it generally decent?

As a general rule most gun shows in New York will not bet any deals. Most ammo and components would likely be on the table for more than you could walk into a shop or cabelas and buy for. Since a nics check is required at gun shows long gun transfers would be fine. No go on pistols unless you have it shipped to a VT FFL.
Never hurts to go looking and the rare deal can be found but don't bet on it.

Saratoga City Center? I didn't even realize it was this weekend.

I've been to that show many many times. Years ago you could find some ok prices on ammo. Now, I'm lucky to walk away with a fairly priced surplus ammo can (empty) or a couple MRE's for my hiking trips.

Of course there are exceptions to the rule and some people walk out with a great price on a rifle. I personally have never seen those deals and I used to wait in line early to get in.

If it's like the typical show, there were will be plenty of C&R type rifles, older shotguns, lots of antique/vintage military items, books, made in china tactical this that and everything else.

I would go.

You might find a dealer with some banned items that he would be willing to get rid of and ship them to your ffl.

Decent for a NY show.  Everything is overpriced.  You might find some good deals on vintage 22 rifles.  Lots of restaurant options in the area.  Parking will be retarded due to St. Patty's day weekend.
