| Seems the boys at the ATF drop by at REMINGTON for a late night visit last week... Little birdie tells me everything not in order. Wonder what kind of consequences that brings? |

Yeah, cause ATF would never arbitrarily go after a manufacturer that pissed off the Prince of Penis's Cuomo, right. Can you say JBT harrasment? |

Yeah, cause ATF would never arbitrarily go after a manufacturer that pissed off the Prince of Penis's Cuomo, right. Can you say JBT harrasment? That's what I was thinking, tin foil hat on... Between a relocation & the govt sticking a finger in her ass, could slow production & worse... I know the subcontractor is worried now, not to mention the sub contractor trying to get their own line up & running.... |

Receivers w/ Improper serial(sub contractor did it) & missing shit(again I believe receivers)... Little birdie told me essentially the same thing, one number is so large it's probably a sequential/assignment error, the other....well no one's really sure at this point. Given the shear number of firearms produced there, combined with size, workforce, etc. it's still pretty tightly controlled with relativly little true loss.

Probably, but why the visit at 1:00 am? That seems like harassment right there...why not just during normal business hours? Again, a bit tin foily, but it begs the question.... Quoted:

Ahh, wait for the facts to come out. Im sure its not a big deal Probably, but why the visit at 1:00 am? That seems like harassment right there...why not just during normal business hours? Again, a bit tin foily, but it begs the question.... Un-interuppted work...there are a lot of people and activity going on; most likely it was prearranged. |

REM is aware of approx. 200 last I knew, truth be told, that's about 1/5 of the pieces... Lots of bad numbers There were more than a handful of 10 guages around in the 90's that worked their way out... But, I agree, things are tight for such a large place. I don't think barrels are going out down pant legs in winter anymore...

Did they have a Blem sale that I missed? ![]() Bought a rifled slug barrel with scope mount years ago, I think at the Cortland gun show. The scope mount wasn't quite straight, but the thing shot like a bandit. Five-shot groups at 100 yards, all touching. Wonder where that gun is now? |
WHIP list... Used to be for employees only to bid on, some great deals were to be had. The system dosent work like that anymore. Best deal my Father ever had was when a milk truck collided w/ the REM truck, they auctioned of everything in the truck for cost I believe. For $40 we got a brand new Model 7 in .223 w a Japanese made Tasco on top, 4x. This gun was & is still in mint condition, prob less than 200 down the tube. I miss those days...
