| Broke a leafspring on the Tacoma - want to replace both leafspring packs with larger ones. Can anyone help me do this/does anyone own or work at a shop that can help me out? |

There's a Spring shop we used to take out 10 wheel trucks to in East Syracuse across from Tracey Road Equip. on Bridge St....it's been a long time, I really can't recommend anyone in the area.
Any 4x4/off-road shops in the area? Be mindful of over springing, lifting, and changing driveline angles; with each modification generally something is sacrificed.

I wouldn't go with bigger/stiffer springs unless you haul all the time. Your back will thank you. Tacoma OEM leaf springs are weak and shitty: http://www.tacomahq.com/508/toyota-tacoma-leaf-springs-break/ |

I'm getting it fixed at Allied Spring and then trading it in. That's where we used to take the trucks IIRC. Funny you say that; I just spent close to 1K on tires, brakes, and 100K service for my BMW then wrecked it.
I bought a nice little Ford Ranger, but have to wait for a replacement title to come from Arkansas
That duce is a cold MF'r to drive.
Changing your own springs isn't all that bad IF you torch off the U-bolts and the shackle bolts aren't rusted stuck....I've watched more mechanics parts changers waste half the day trying to save $30. worth of bolts. As far as I'm concerned once they're used, torqued in place they're a one time use. (of course there are always exceptions)
