| What if somebody created an AR or devised a modification that was not a true semi-auto, but not a bolt-operation either? Maybe have it so that the bolt locked back after each shot and all someone had to do was hit the bolt release button to cycle another round. With this, I would think someone could maintain a good rate of fire, without having a true semi-auto. And still have all the evil features. |

It's been done in England. There is a trip lever to release the bolt with the thumb....
