That this latest story over the past couple days about this "massive gun bust" in NYC stinks to high heaven? I mean seriously, they are bringing in over 250 guns and they get caught so cleanly? I mean with all the dirty cops out there, they didn't have any sort of heads up ad walked straight into this trap, so that Bloombitch could get up on his soap box and talk about how safe NYC is before the election season??

Maybe I'm just delusional...

I bet having to ride the Chinatown discount bus is probably the most dangerous part of selling illegal guns in NYC...

Criminal enterprise or deliberate stunt - either way Bloomberg looks like a helpless idiot.

He is a helpless idiot...but still a wealthy one, which makes him a dangerous one.

I still think this was a complete hoax on his part.

Did Bloomberg blame Virginia as the source of the guns yet?

I believe it was 10 months and many transactions, averaged out to about 6 guns per buy. Even if it's real the spin they put on the story was ridiculous.

Day 1 he was blaming a few southern states saying loose federal and state laws allows illegal guns to flow in to NY.

its hard to believe most anything in the media these days.  All i know in the end is I am glad if they took some illegal guns off the streets, gun law reform won't do shit to stop crooks from getting weapons, only makes it harder for law abiding citizens...

I mean we have to worry about kids killing us because they might be bored...

If there was no market, there'd be no sales. Maybe he should concentrate on that.

there will always be a market for illegal guns, always.

Especially when the PD is a major market participant.  Though it's great they get these guns off the street for sure, the tactics are a bit of a self-fulfilling prophesy.

Figures.

Has he ever tackled the issue of the fact that the crime rate involving guns is higher in NYC than it actually is in the free states?

the police kept these 2 idiots supplying them guns and wait untill they buy 250 before arresting them??? why not arrest after the first buy?

Its political grandstanding . months from now these orchestrated buys of 250 guns will be counted into the statistics of how many guns the nypd took off the streets .

What a sham

I guess we need the SAFER Act to fight criminal masterminds such as these. Every gun will now have to have a built-in GPS tracker and require an intricate series of six distinct, deliberate motions to either chamber a single round or fire.

I'm actually quite surprised that Cuomo hasn't been out there crowing about his success, because only one of the 250 was an "assault rifle." I expected him say that now it's time to address handguns so he can be successful at that too.

You think a lot of NYPD cops know about major investigations that are going on in OCCB's FIU?

Because with just one buy it would of either of been plea bargained down to nothing or a jury would think "Meh, no big deal".

No not all, but the ones that are successful know everything pertinent to their operations. That's how good criminal enterprise works....
