OP, I really wish you would post better specific details.

What are the yardages for the shoot?  10 yards, 50 yards, 1000 yards??  This is important because maybe I have an appropriate zero, maybe I don't.

Caliber restrictions?  Can I bring a 17hmr or 50 bmg?

Is it timed?  Untimed?  30 seconds per stage?  Speed timed?

Is it this kind of Practical Rifle match?  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xtTPX8WKOS8

If so why would I need Binoculars or Spotting scope or a Shooting Mat.

Also your link doesn't work...OOOPS, it says... I was hoping that maybe the link would shed more light on this.

Beach,

Thank you for your interest in our program.

We rarely if ever release our COF.  Our distances are typically from 15 yards to 200 yards and all points in between.  Our program is limited to magazine fed, center-fire, semi-automatic rifles.  As a practical program, it is designed to test both you and your gear in a variety of common shooting positions.  Our goal is to not have you show up with the perfect set-up for that given day.  In real life that is not likely to happen.  Hopefully other NY Forums members who have shot with us will post comments about their experience.

Regards,

Gary

Gary

I'll chime in..

As Gary stated they shoot from 15 yards to 200 yards. Centerfire rounds. excluding 50 cal bmg. that wouldn't work in the way they shoot.

I have seen people with ar's, ak's, one guy with hk with a silencer in 308 and even a ar 16" rifle in 9mm pistol round. m1 carbine etc..

They are excellent shoots focus on safety and unique ways people usually wouldn't shoot. some  examples would be shooting weak hand. in standing, kneeing, prone.  shooting 2 round drills with loaded 4 round mag repeated twice and do a mag change in the middle. etc..

In the Winter they have a ak shoot which is cool and an old ww2 shoot  in the sprint. The last two years i have shot that it snowed (blizzard) and felt like the battle of bastogne.

Like Gary stated they make you think about what you could face.

Hope that helps. IM me if you need more clarity
