Heard the non-ruling by SCOTUS today on affirmative action and I have to wonder if this is going to be a new trend of punting on controversial issues. I have to wonder if they might not be in the same mood to punt on Second Amendment cases too. This seems in line with their rejection of the Kalchasky appeal. |

Quoted: Are you saying a part of government wants to appear like they are doing something all the while not really doing a damn thing? Exactly! We still have to wait until the end of the week for the remaining "big" cases but I get this feeling the Supreme Court would rather keep pushing stuff down to the lower courts and leave well enough alone. There are no Second Amendment cases currently awaiting decisions but it seems troublesome that more and more the are issuing extremely narrow opinions (or none at all) which are solving nothing. |

Justifying their existence with little to no precedencial value. |
