I don't know what it has to do with the unSAFE Act. Possession of two loaded handguns has been a felony in this Gualag for a long long time
But what a freaking rocket scientist. Drives 100 MPH with two illegal loaded handguns, an AW and grass in the car. Sounds like he wanted to get caught. |

Yeah sounds like this guy would have come to his demise with or without the 7rd limit.
Crimes- Being from Jersey (stay down there) Reckless Driving Possession of Weeds (over 25gms is a no-no, under 25gms is a violation) Guessing no license/reciprocity Hit this guy with the book. |

This is the slippery slope upon which we tread.
Right now, we think the NY SAFE act is outrageous. But in 20 years nobody will. Gun owners will decry those arrested as they now do those who are caught with unregistered automatics. Until 1968 nobody needed a FFL to order a handgun through the mail. In NYS it is still legal to have two loaded handguns in the car- unless you're from New Jersey. Why is he any different? In NYS it is still legal to have an unloaded Bushmaster rifle in the car- unless you're from New Jersey. Why is he lesser than NYS taxpayers? MJ is legally grown in mass quantities in USA, particularly California. Even when it is illegal, it is de facto legal in some areas, as there is a "no prosecute" policy. Personal posession is still legal in Alaska, as well as in many developed countries. The quantity- 30 grams- is the same as fifteen paperclips; or, roughly an ounce- 1/50th of NYS arbitrary limit to the weight of a handgun...that's TWO PERCENT the weight of concealable weapon. And of the 30 grams- MJ is basically legal in USA, the amount it is an arbitrary number contrived by politicians. Meanwhile, one can buy two gallons of vodka with no restriction other than age. When NYS Thruway opened in 19554 (and later expanded in 1957) it was designed to safely carry divided highway traffic at 75mph. Back then, cars had bias ply tires. And, no shoulder belts, no crash bumpers, no airbags, no warning beepers, no ABS, and suspensions were garbage compared to today. Germany's Autobahn looks very much like the NYS Thruway, and many sections have no speed limit. Today's 100 mph is 1954's 45mph. From what I see in the article, he was not charged with another catch-all charge "reckless driving" which is used when the cops can't truthfully charge with any of the various violations including improper lane change, failure to signal, driving on the shoulder etc. Nor was he charge with DUI. So all he was doing was driving, apparently adequately, at 100 MPH. So what, exactly, did this guy do that was dangerous to society? Really? Looks like you guys drank the same Koolaid you accuse others of. Hopefully in 20 years your children will blow you in to their teachers when they find out you have unregistered assault weapons. Keep the blinders on, and keep drinking. Quoted:
