I wish it was that simple.

A: non-participation (not voting) is nearly as American as apple pie; it is damn hard to mobilize even really pissed off groups to turn out on election day.

B: wake up, NY sucks across the board; it isn't some mystical downstate NYC pull.  The population lives in urban areas...urban areas tend to be blue.

Go to the link below, let the presidential results sink in.  Then, toggle for congressional districts; guess why the districts are so big in areas upstate (hint, sparse population).  Finally, toggle to the senatorial results!

I'll say it again:  This state is lost...act accordingly!

It's just reality.  I don't like the situation.  I'll keep fighting, going to the rallies, voting, etc. as long as I'm here.  But we need to be realistic about what we're up against.  Trying to 'fix' NYS is like trying to fix California.

Here's a thought, imagine if the fiscally conservative, pro Constitution and freedom folks were able to take back New York.  That's a stronghold to be proud of, getting Montana to pass a bill supporting gun rights is well, kind of a gimme.  Maybe the powers that  be should focus more on NY and turning the tide instead of just conceding to the "progressives"
