Was at the Ontario County meeting tonite, and the resolution to call for the repeal of the SAFE act passed! The vote was overwhelmingly for it. I think that Canandaigua and Geneva voted against it. Typical for those "cities". One small step, and some of the speakers were very good tonight. Met a few other ARFCOMers there, though, with my bad short term memory, they're gonna have to post here to remind me! -Jay |
I was sitting next to you. 
The turnout was pretty impressive. I got there an hour early and got a seat in the main room. The county opened up overflow rooms with video monitors after the main room filled up. On the way out it looked like there were hundreds of people in attendance. There were many excellent speakers and only a small minority of supervisors voted against it. |

That was a great meeting. There were hundreds of people there!! I was sitting in front of Jed (p400). It good to meet you Jay. Its great to put some faces to the names here.
Everybody I've met off the board here has been really cool except one person. Did a ftf sale with a Ft. Drum soldier and he was kinda sketchy...but everybody else has been cool |

I wish I had taken some pictures after the meeting was over. There were so many people it looked like the end of a rock concert. We couldn't tell how big the crowd was while the meeting was going on because they had the crowd split up into several rooms.
All I can say is if anyone is planning on attending any of the county votes this week, show up early! Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |
