| Is there another protest coming? |
| The most likely scenario appears to be taking it to Main Streets all across the state for a rally day in March. If we can get 100s or 1000s to turn out in scores of locations in all of our communities, it would get us maximum exposure from the local media. After taking it to Albany for three major rallies in seven weeks, we need to take it to our communities to win over the fence sitters. |

We did this on Long Island during the January protests. If this is done alongside a major road, a lot of cars and trucks sound their horns in support. It has a dramatic effect, especially when it's several vehicles at the same time or one after the other. |
I agree Tahawus!! We need to take it to our local communities now! We had a rally last Saturday in Olean. For a rural area with large number of gun owners, I was hoping for a larger turn out. We had about 300 show. Guest speakers included several county Sheriffs (Allegany, Cattaraugus, Erie, and Mckean counties). It was great to see the support of the surrounding county Sheriffs!!!!

Problem with a weekend, is that representatives aren't at work and nobody is downtown to witness or drop-in participate. There is nothing we can get out of legislative process. It's up to the courts now. NY state government is a corrupt and tyrannical regime that needs to be torn down. |

Make no mistake, it makes an impression. For this law, legislativly, you are correct. Remember, there are other laws pending and it helps to keep them from seeing the ight of day. We are at a point where more restrictions will only make our legal case stronger |

I am thinking the next big rally or coordinated series of same-day smaller rallies will be on a Saturday. This sounds like a great idea. I'll have no problem returning to Albany if those are the orders, but many can probably not be so flexible with work. I would love to see a fair-weather saturday rally in albany, just for numbers. But local simultaneous rallies also sounds great -- and we will probably get higher total turnout. Should it be a county by county thing? Or groups of 2-3 counties? Putting 500 - 1000 people in one place on the county level will have be drastically noticable. We should ask folks to step up and coordinate for their county. Then organize tactically located point rallies. You know, kind of have a list in waiting who can step up and strike important locations. I'd be willing to coordinate for Suffolk, or, more ideally, assist someone who knows more about any required permits, laws, etc.. |
| Smaller protests won't mean anything. People need to shut down Albany for a couple days and need the Guard to come in and restore order. It won't happen because gun onwers aren't the same kind of assholes like the hippies were. But it needs to happen to send a message to the entire country and the world. It needs to happen in NY. |

| This is a long hard slog fellas. And the key to this is building momentum. The time to shut down Albany for days may very well come...but that time is not now. We have more than 10 months before the registration requirement goes into effect. We need to build popular support first before we resort to other options. |

One thing that has emerged from this is that county sheriff's and county governments have been able to find their voices. |
