Do I understand that any semi-auto pistols with threaded barrels will be considered AWs?

(C) A SEMIAUTOMATIC PISTOL THAT HAS AN ABILITY TO ACCEPT A  DETACHABLE
MAGAZINE AND HAS AT LEAST ONE OF THE FOLLOWING CHARACTERISTICS:

(I) A FOLDING OR TELESCOPING STOCK;

(III)  A  SECOND HANDGRIP OR A PROTRUDING GRIP THAT CAN BE HELD BY THE

It would be subject to the registration requirement, and no new sales I suppose.

An assault weapon that is also a "firearm" appears to be subject to increased penalties for non-registration.  Not sure if the pistol license would count...depends on how this whole system rolls out.

When the list from the NYSP first appeared (the one they took down) the first thing I noticed were the TEC-9's The irony to me is they've been out of business almost twenty years, but I've got a couple of them now that either have to be sold out of State or registered, then re-registered every five years.....it's not enough they've been on my licenses the last ten years. "Assemblyman must be an Algonquin word for fuck-wad"

Just like the original CA list and the Federal list, loading with things you couldn't buy if you wanted. Stuff there were only a couple hundred ever imported and stuff that was never available to the public anyway.
