Hey guys,
I'd like to stock up on some preban 30 rounders and am wondering where is the best place to buy them? Do any FFL's in NY stock them, or are they something that you need to buy at gun shows and classified ads, etc? |

That free states don't really have a use for them, so they would be cheaper. Sounds good in theory. But all the shows I went to in SC, I didn't see any pre-ban mags. That was just my experience, though. |

out of state people can buy new mags ––-we can not––- (as long as it has no laws against it in their state) you can buy new pre-bans also if you can find them . make any more sense this way ?? had a friend pick through a box of them out of state. the seller wanted to know why he wanted the old ones for 5.00 and not the new ones for 7.00 |

I think you missed what he was saying...completely. Out of state residents can buy new mags. Hence they're cheaper at out of state gun shows. This. Basically, you need to know what you're looking for and search at out of state gun shows. They don't want or need the old beat up mags/rifles, and sometimes don't even know if it's preban or not. They also usually won't try to rip you off like NY'ers (at least not as bad). I've found mags and a few preban rifles at much lower prices than I would in NY. EE would be the best choice for mags imo, but they have been expensive lately, probably due to election season... |

The only prebans I see are 5 packs of the Orlite for 100 bucks? 20 bucks a pop for Orlites? is he smoking crack cocaine? Those prices are retarded ETA linked business is owned by a banned member who got in trouble for EE shennanigans. Interdasting. Definately a pass for me

And since I saw what you had posted before your edit in the quoted post, and since a lot of personal friends of mine post in this forum and your words were meant for them, I thought I'd post the following observation: The guy who went by "Dieter122" on these boards was working MTM's table at the Syracuse gun show. I don't remember his name beyond the screen name association but I remember his face. That would probably mean you, Wildman1024, are Dieter122. |

Depending on the AR and the mold code of the mag you might have to trim 1/32" off the rib so they seat properly. I would never pay $12 each for them though. |
