I don't know the details of the case here beyond what was stated in the article:threatened to kill someone, had "machine gun" along with firearms w/serial numbers filed off. I can not comment on the validity of these claims. However, based on the photo of the guy:
Wide space between his eyes. Thick eyebrows, lack of a forehead/low hairline, "Meth Nose," etc... he does not fit the profile of a responsible firearms owner. |

For once they may have gotten it right, there's a sten under the AK on the table. Even if it's semi-auto, it's still got a short barrel. Although the general public will read machine gun and see the ZOMG EVIL!!11! AK on the table. |

Seriously though who hasn't owned a practice/dummy grenade at some point?. Heck even live ones turn up with surprising frequency, I remember a few years ago in Syracuse or Bingotown near a school they found some WWI pineapples. |
