Yeah  anyone here have activity just start up out of no where.  Over the past few months, the occasional shadow that catches your attention.  Then a shadow person(very fast ), noises, and then full on clothed person coming down the stair and walks into thin air.  I hate to ask this and I'm not the only family member seeing this stuff so Its not just an active imagination.  Its a bit unnerving how this progression is taking place.  No I'm not a weirdo.....but how would I know that .  Maybe I should have said my "friend" has a problem.  I was just wondering if anyone else out there has had this happen or any experience.  No new construction, deaths in the family, changes, just started happening.

I propose we form ARF Paranormal InvEstigations or ARF-PIE to investigate.

Any kids in the house?  Practicing the black arts in the basement?  Check the floors for sacred circles.

ETA: Have you tried fapping in front of one of them, GD tells me that that is like Raid to ghosts.  Hell, I'd leave...

I have a daughter.  No basement or circles.  I have been waiting for the funny replys.  I have to tell you that seeing a person in your house that is not supposed to be there is anything but funny.  The clothed figure happened tonight for the first time and second.   Its been a black mass up until tonight.  WHOOOOO I know

I've always been on the fence about this stuff...

The scientist in me wants to tell you to buy some CO meters, and make sure you don't have anything physically wrong with the house.  Chemical spills, gas leaks, etc etc.  Get a friend to come over and see what happens, see if they smell anything weird, make sure noting is physically precipitating this. (Check the plumbing too, the TAPS guys always harp on this...)

Make sure your wife isn't slipping something into the household food and start drinking bottled water for a few days.

Here are the common knowledge paranormal things life has taught me: Call a priest and go buy some sage.  Have the house blessed and then cleanse it with the burning sage.  Do NOT buy a Ouija Board or get emotional with the entity.

Children can be lighting rods for stuff like this.  How old is she, any emotional issues?

I have a close friend who sees and hears things (people) everywhere she goes, every day of her life. (Think the Tv show The Ghost Whisperer, just not as tv dramatic lol).
I tested her in all sorts of ways years ago, I know she's not making it up. (I've also seen her move things without touching them, or turn the TV off and on. (telekinesis or getting some outside "help" to do it I don't know, neither does she.) Her brain activity is not normal, showing all sorts of activity where most people don't have much. She's had several universities and other groups , I assume government ask to do studies with her but she always says no. (apparently the doctors told everyone they could think of)
She's not an attention seeker or someone looking to cash in. To her it's a burden that's made her life miserable, only her family and a couple close friend know. Took many years before she opened up to me and told me, though I always knew there was something going on.))

Anyway….  that story told simply to provide a little light when I say….  Why not, I could maybe, possibly believe you.

Nail down the furniture, purchase a good strong climbing rope and a case of tennis balls and put the TV outside.

My aunt just told me today she saw god the other day while taking a piss with the door open. She said he appeared out of something that looked like clouds in the doorway and first she said Jesus? then she said nope, Moses? and than said no thats god. Gray beard and white hair. We were laughing about it but she was serious and I full on believe her.

I had an ex that always felt a presence in that house to the point where she wouldn't want to be left a lone even sitting in a room for 2 minutes.

See, I would much rather see a Zombie, at least I could put it down...

Ghosts are harder to explain to the authorities for shooting in my house.

I do not believe in any of the stuff, but that is probably because I have never experienced anything.

Have had several experiences with ghosts, never seen one per se, but have seen what they can do. All that I have encountered were mischievous and not evil, and I've had a few encounters, 1 in an apartment that i used to live in and a bunch in the hospital I used to work in.

I was walking the dog recently and heard a loud voice next to me, couldn’t make out what was said. I figured someone on a bicycle was passing from behind and moved out of his way. There was nobody there at all.
Found out from a friend that the previous year, her father had been suffering from brain cancer, went out to this spot in the front yard and committed suicide with a rifle. Other family members confirmed that he’s been heard and seen occasionally.

Aside from spirits that i know do exist, take very seriously the co2 testing / checking. About a month ago (heating season) my wife started seeing things and people around the house. I didn't because I slept by an open window. To make a long story short, squirels built a nest at the top of my chimney. The water heaters and a furnace thats in the basement worked fine. The furnace in the attic kept shutting off or not fireing up at all. When I checked for a cloged flue, soot and smoke and co2 blew straight into the attic from the chimney. Cleaned it out asap, dead squirrel and all. Also, wife's other symptoms were indicative of co2 poisoning.

CO = Carbon monoxide = poisonous byproduct of incomplete combustion that preferentially binds to hemoglobin.
CO2 = Carbon dioxide = byproduct of cellular respiration, only dangerous insofar as it's ability to displace atmospheric oxygen.

We had a chuckle a work today about me living in a house that looked like Swiss cheese because of gunfire.  Yes officer I did see it I DID SEE IT.  I don't blame anyone for not believing, I wouldn't believe it either.

Honestly I would be moving.  Hey if this house is theres then I need to find another.  It would freak me out way too much.  I really hope you can figure out exactly what is going on.  Good luck I just hope it doesnt make you crazy literally.

ETA I also subscribe to emsjeep's theory of how to keep them away.

It was every day/night for a little while.  Fast shadow, the kind where you just think your seeing things.  Then as the experiences became more formal (the shadow thing was seen outright) there seemed to be a greater duration between sightings.  It seems to manifest and a few days later it does it again.  This will be followed by a longer period (up to a week or two) before it shows itself again.  I thought about the camera or digital recorder.  I live in Poughkeepsie.

I don't think so, the dogs don't react.  This thing is fast too.  I hate to make an already unbelievable subject more crazy.  This thing seems to want to see what's going on but doesn't want to be seen.  Until last night.

I can live with it as long as there's no physical interaction.  What I don't like is when all the lights are off and I'm on my way to bed.  I keep wondering when Ill see a shadow pass a window.  Is it an intruder a ghost, who's in the house?   God I hope I don't wake up one night to see someone standing at the foot of the bed.  I would crap my sheets .

I live next to a 200+ year old cemetary.
Bodies are buried on my property because no one bothered to check property lines.
In the 27 years I have been alive the closest I got to seeing ghosts was when I drank an entire bottle of nyquil in the 90's.

That's cuz nobody dies at the cemetery.

Actually my friend tells me cemeteries are very active. I ask why, that doesn't make any sense, since like I said above no one dies there, it's always somewhere else. lol
She doesn't know why, but they're there.

I would promptly lock myself out of the house and proceed to kick in my own door.  It was kids wearing jeans and hoodies, I swear.
