I know this has been beaten to death here, but I just heard today that When u buy a pinned stock from the manufacturer, it has to be pinned all the way open to it's full length?
Is this true? I always thought that you could have it pinned where u wanted it? I'm asking because I wanted my local shop to order me one, and he told me this was only way NY law will let u have one. Please please please please!!!!! don't let this thread turn into a fireball, and start fighting and arguing with each other. Thanks Gman556 |
| To be legit a rifle has to have a barrel length of 16" and the rifle must have an overall length of 26". So long as your rifle's stock is permanently fixed and meets the aforementioned lengths, you are good to go. If your FFL were correct, a pistol grip only shotgun would be illegal (I'm not going into crazy places like NYC or Buffalo that may have their own restrictions). |

I love the thing. I never took the handguards off or messed with them. Get the Centurian rail from rainier arms, much lighter, built in sling swivel qd and same lock up. Lol I knew that was a stag just based on the handguard. |

I would stick with the KAC piece over primary arms, just in terms of quality and also you cannot get more of a "clone" than the RAS, although you could go the route of the DD EZ CAR which is a drop in replacement that does not FF. I really have no thoughts on the Primary Arms rail, no experience but I do have one of their magnifiyers and a mount, the optic is very well made, the mount is utter shit. There could be the possibility of an out of spec rail more so on the PA than on any of the other systems out there currently. |
