Anyone ever build an MP5 from a demilled kit? Since the HKPro forums seems to be down I figured I'd see if anyone in NY has taken on a similar project.

spoke to my smith about this today....

he said he could get it together "fast"....he builds H&Ks all the time.

you wont save any money doing it yourself vs buying a Coharie, SW5, etc really

I got my Coharie for $1.1k.

Demilled kit your looking at $800....$150-300 reciever or flat.....another $300-500 in US parts.

I like the challenge of building a gun so I'm not too worried about the extra cost. Any idea where you can purchase complete receivers? All I can find are flats.

I've been looking into doing one myself this summer if I have the funds.

I'm thinking a MP5 build is going to definitely happen for me this summer. I just need to find a local Tig welding class to take between now and then.
