The Yankees are a bunch of overpaid primadonnas past their prime, Go Rangers!

You'll have to hope for 3 things.

#1- Sabathia has a similar outing as his last outing.
#2-  Andy retires before the series.
#3- Hughes forgets how to pitch.

I can see #1 as a maybe... but #2 and #3 are not possible. So hope your boys don't mind losing in the Bronx

Actually, the last time the Yankees and Red Sox met in an AL playoff series, the yankees lost and not very gracefully at that

Hey, I tip my hat to Cliff Lee, the guy is great but............you can't dismiss a team that is expected to win and is used to doing so. No matter who wins, the games will be exciting and the series will go at least 6 game.

Yanks for the win !!

True.... we are just happy to be here. You would have thought that we won the World Series last night in Tampa.

Lots of happy Ranger fans in north Texas.

Rangers earned it with some sick nasty pitchers.  You have a great deal to be excited about and maybe this is your year.  We'll find out pretty soon.

Truth be told, I was a fan of Nolan Ryan from back in the day.  He would have looked pretty good in pinstripes.

Hell I think this last series was the first post season series win the rangers have had in quite a while.  If the yanks pitching is on the mark it will be a good series.

Yankees won't be celebrating with ginger ale, that's for sure.

10 hours until CC gets his tits lit up.

Steaks are marinating, beer is cold, and we'll have a house full of friends over for the game tonight.

We even have a Yankee fan coming over to watch his team lose.

Don't tell the Texas HTF but I have a Jeter shirt in my closet. He's easily my favorite player in baseball but that shirt won't see the light of day for a while.

My favorite Jeter story...  years ago some friends moved up near Boston, one of them was at work and noticed one of his coworkers had a Yankees shirt on under his work shirt. He was surprised by this so he asked him about it. "You're a Yankees fan?". He said "No not really, but my cousin plays for them." My friend was shocked and said "Really? Who?".  He replied "Derek Jeter, ever heard of him?" (he was in his rookie or second season). My friend said "Oh my god of course!"
He was excited to here this and started asking about him. "What's he like, is he cool?" The guys reply was... "Actually, he's kind of a dick."

I have a friend who lives in Tudor City (42nd st) a couple blocks from Jeter's place in Trump World something. She claims to see him all the time in the grocery store.
