September 24, 1969....On that date the Amazin' Mets clinched First Place in the National League East. I well remember seeing that final double play that night and the even greater joy that followed a few weeks Later when they won the World Series. September 24, 2010. Is there anybody here that think The Mess have a chance to break .500?  |

Don't worry. I'm going to stock up on tissues because my beloved Yankees won't make it out of the first round of the playoffs with the current pitching staff. At least I can look forward to seeing Cliff Lee in a Yankee uniform next season. That and Crawford playing center.  |
