If it's a Commando –– that is, the 11.5" barrel model –– it's worth 3-8 in Attica (or Otisville)

It depends, if he wants to make a lot of money depending on condition he could sell it for maybe $1200+. Stripped bushy lowers sell for $600ish alone.

However he could probably trade someone for a lot more in value.

is he a NY'er?  i ask b/c if he is in a state that has no restrictions then it would be really awesome of him to sell it to one of us in the ban states and a good price to help us out!  but then again i understand getting the full value out of the rifle
p.s. wish i could afford a preban right now  lol

He's from NY. Talked to him and he would be willing to trade for a PTR91 with an 18" barrel and a WASR. Thats about 1300-1500.

He can probably get a better price for a BM preban from a CT resident since all preban Colt AR-15 and Colt Sporter rifles are banned in CT.

Which never ceased to amaze me considering Colt is based in Connecticut.  Colt should have relocated to a free state years ago.

CT has some weird gun laws that in some cases make even less sense then New York.

CT has no mag restrictions

CT bans certain caliber AKs

CT has shall issue CCW and issues non-resident CCW but has no reciprocity with any other state

CT has no restrictions on handgun possession in your residence but you need a CCW to transport as a resident/non-resident to/from the range or for a resident to purchase a new/used handgun

CT restricts select fire rifles but full auto is OK

Connecticut . . .  a locally produced AR-15 is illegal but a minigun isn't. Figure that one out.
