... Do you think we'll be able to get some of the NYC gun restrictions removed? At least common-sense stuff, like 5 round magazine capacity restriction and long gun registration requirement?
Maybe one day the city will be sued for violation of gun owners' civil rights. This shit is ridiculous. |

I have the letter from Koch's legislative aide saying the Mayor/City does not object to the bill making NYS/NYC RTC. It does say, though, Koch does not believe all "target" license holder are "qualified" for unrestricted licenses. However the letter ends with "I have no objections to this bill."
RTC was vetoed by Hugh Carey after one person complained: Kenneth Conboy, Deputy Commissioner, Legal Matters, NYPD. The veto memo states that there has been "no abuse of discretion" by licensing agents. |
