If someone took an old Colt "CAR 15", duly marked as such or a Colt "AR 15" and removed the bayonet lug and attached a muzzle brake, would it be legal in NJ ? I would like some clarification as the NJ gun laws are very confusing. Thank you in advance for any responses. 1125 |

Based on that, its banned unless registered years ago when that was available to people. Even if the evil features are removed, the receiver is still a Colt embossed CAR 15. YMMV. Oh and in before PK90 says its GTG.

Damn. Bastard. I would have to agree with you on this. It is a "no go' in NJ. |
| you should hypotetically have a friend in PA sell it to a NYS resident FFL to FFL. Or bring it yourself to a NYS FFL with buyer to do a transfer. NYS buyer gets a sweet preban rifle, you get enough money to buy a nice new NJ compliant AR and no longer a "violent felon" win-win. |
