How much per sq/ft?

Trying to figure out what it would run for a two car driveway.

I think we have a price of $6.80 for the walkway around our pool. Is that about the norm?

Around me it averages $6 per sq ft, add for color and patterns

I had my garage floor done for under $5.

I just got my pool done for $4.50 sq ft   are you in south jersey?

You really can't use the same price for a driveway and a walkway. Driveways should be 6" thick and with the road mesh. Walkways can be 4" thick. I don't know the prices around Jersey but would think somewhere about 7 a square foot.

I had this pool put in my yard in 2007.  We went with an extended concrete patio so there would be plenty of room, which there is.  I don't recall the square foot price or measurements, but this was about $4000 in concrete work.  Be advised, the closest part is thick, I think he called it a "toe" or something.  You can see how it steps up from the ground....

That looks to be about $4.50 to $5.00 per square foot. Good deal.

I just had my driveway increased in size.  It was only of two car width up towards the garage.
By eliminating a garden next to the sidewalk, I got two estimates for what was "about" 200 square feet, or at least
180 sq.  (It wasn't a perfect rectangle.)
One estimate was $1100, the other $1300,  so $6.80 sounds about right.
I am in Massapequa and used a guy from Bellmore.

6.80 is a little high, tell the guy he is coming in too high and I bet he drops the price down to around 5.50 a sf. depending on where you are and when youre looking to do it, it shouldnt be hard to find someone to do it for less than 5 bucks a sf. Hell if youre interested in doing it, buy some beer and or ammo and get free labor, I am in south jersey

Problem is he's locked into the pool contract so I don't know how much negotiating room there is with him.

is he doing the pool under contract?  If so, what is included in the already agreed upon contract. If this is something additional to the work he's been contracted to do, then its almost garuanteed he is trying to rip you off. Most  guys will ( or should) give specific exclusions to what is being done. the less he has a deal for means more room to negotiate. Remeber, its your money. If he wants it he will come to agreeable terms. You can always use a different guy for the concrete.

The work he is doing is included in the pool contract. Anything outside of that is out of pocket.

He quoted $1060 for a 224" x 34.5" area in front of our 2-car garage. He's going to lay a PVC drain pipe underneath it for the gutter run-off... "at no cost" since I have the pipe already.

This is for digging up what's there now and putting down the new stuff leveled up with the inside part of the garage floor.
