<snip>about 12 percent of homeowners have a firearm, according to a federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention survey.
Wow, I really would have thought that number would be a lot higher. Of course, anytime you poll a population, there has to be some margin of error, right? |

12% sounds about right, think of the big poplulation centers where most people dont own guns (at least not legally)
I am proud to be the 1st of my friends to but a gun and since then I have had 3 other friends exercise their 2nd amendment rights in the last 2 months. The more legal gun owners there are, the safer our rights are. |

Of course, anytime you poll a population, there has to be some margin of error, right? Perhaps it should have been stated: "about 12 percent of homeowners admit to having a firearm." That is not usually the kind of information one volunteers if they are smart. |
