Anyone ever register a long gun with Kew Gardens they bought outside of the City? The reg form needs the sellers name, address etc. It also need a signature. If you buy from a dealer can you just fill in the Store name etc and leave the signature out? I call Kew Gardens and they basically told me you can;t buy a gun outside the city . Any help is appreciated.

Tell them to read their own regulations: Page 8 http://www.nyc.gov/html/nypd/downloads/pdf/permits/rifle_shotgun_permit_application_20080828.pdf "(d) When a gun is bought from a gun dealer outside New York City, the original bill of sale or a copy must be submitted along with the completed registration form." |
| This is the first one I am doing, but it seems that the NYC dealer has the forms themselves. They fill them in and mail then to Kew Gardens as well. I tried to call KQ but got slurred answers on the other end. Told me maybe I should go back and have the dealer fill it out. Told her the dealer was outside of NYC so how would they know what to do. Crazy. |

Ask the street dealer's in Washington Heights. They should have the required forms and info. ![]() [joke] We no longer allow sales to legal firearms owners as NYPD always kicked back the paperwork as needing more information! We only sell guns to NON-law abiding citizens just because NYC is a pain in the A$$ with paperwork! Another thing to remember, is our selection and stock are limited to easily concealable\disposable firearms. Sincerely, Your friendly gun dealer on the corner! [/joke] |
