Okay so Im either going to buy a S&W optics ready for $950 and an AK for $800. OR hold off and wait for a Noveske/LMT and hope its not too late by the time they come in. The AK and S&W is in stock right now. What would you do.

Get the SLR. Milled Arsenals haven't been made in years. And most likely never again. $800 is reasonable at this time and I doubt that you'll find one cheaper. As much as I dis-like AK's, it's proabably a better investment at this time: 1) they're not likly to ever be allowed importation again, so there will be fewer available as market demand increases. 2) they'll never be any cheaper than the are right now. 3) AR's are made every day and not likly to dry up anytime soon. |
Isn't the standard ARFCOM answer, "Get both?" 
I'd personally get the S&W and the AK over waiting for the Noveske/LMT. You can get both now, and we all know that your window of opprotunity on getting these *may* be closing very quickly. Plus, 2 rifles is always better then 1 IMO. |
