| Thank god for the hometown forum, some people who can feel my pain. Im in the market for a new AR. I really dont want it to come with a perm. compressor so I would prefer a plain barrel. Anyone have ANY advice based on whats out there. I was looking at the s&w m&p15ft . I found one for 1600$. Not sure. Ive read some issues about them. Any other suggestions? Thanks!!!! |

Quoted:
Liverpool, NY Herb Phillipsons had a S$W M4 FT, no sights front and rear, for $999 today. Also a bushy A4 with a carryhandle, same price. Both were plain barrels. Any idea what the # is? Is it an army/navy store? Ive read about quite a few people having FTF's on the "T" models. |

you might also want to look for a stag 2t if you want a railed forearm. i've seen very little 'negative' reviews of any stag rifles.
though, the version stag ships as ban-compliant has a perm-attached brake. my stag (current config): (pic removed because i didn't realize the model the OP was looking for) |

I think the $1600 S$W the OP is talking about is at GEM Sports. It is a Performance Center model-not the "optics ready M4", and more $$$. It looks more like this: http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp86/oldglory_66/swpc.jpg Another good black rifle shop is Tim's Guns in Elbridge. Just east of the village on Rt 5. They had a decent selection of rifles as of last weekend. Hey no thats not the rifle i was talking about. It has the rail and troy front and rear. Its the m&p15ft . Hey this tim's guns In elbridge, Im in syracuse so it looks to be right around me. I cant find it on a google search though. |
