Hey all,
I plan on going to the range soon with my handguns.
My friend wants to join me and doesn't have a pistol license.
He doesn't plan on firing any weapons, just to hang out and take pix.
He filed for his pistol license but still has several months to go.

Do the ranges have any issues with this?

I plan on going to Mitchell field indoor range during the day on a weekday.

Any info is greatly appreciated.

They shouldn't as long as he doesn't handle your pistols.

That's what I kinda figured.
Thanks for the reassurance
If need be, he'll just have to buy a rifle in the meantime. lol

ETA: Just got off the phone with the range and they DO NOT allow spectators.
You must be there to fire weapons.
All well, looks like I'll be going alone until he gets his license or a rifle.

Just a quick bump with updated info above

I personally think that's a stupid rule, but what do I know. Does a 'spectator' count as someone you bring with you to fire your firearms? I would like to take my father shooting there, but he doesn't have a rifle. Would it be okay for both of us to work off my AR?

Spectator is someone that will watch without firing anything.
I don't own any rifles, nor does my friend, and his pistol license isn't in yet.
So he can't even go with me to the range to hang out or take pictures.

Myspace is so last year. lol
I have a killer D-SLR camera with an amazing shutter speed (8.5fps) and taking pix of a glock firing would be pretty cool.
