Hey guys, been a member of the boards for some time now. Not too involved but more of a reader :) Just walked into a firing line this morning at work. It's a privately owned business and things haven't been going too well so the big kahuna's been up our a$$es all the time. Today he let some of us go, I unfortunately, was one. So I was on the web job searching and thought I'd post up here, see if any of  you locals can throw me a bone. I worked in r&d for a optics lens coating company (military, universities, observatories, etc)

Message me for skills and experience. Thanks gents.

And here I was thinking ESU in your screen name stood for Emergency Services Unit....

ETA - sorry to hear about the bad luck. Hope things work out for you quickly.

its a far shot in hell....

but check out the university of rochesters laser energetics lab. I worked there on the system for a year or so. its pritty wild what they do there, the whole system is based on optics and laser output. so the optics department might be right up your ally.

check out the web site:

I hope it works out for you like it did for me.  I got laid off 7 years ago.  Met up with a guy just starting a control integration company.  I would not have taken the chance with him if I had a steady job.  Turns out, it was the best thing that's ever happened to my career.

Sometimes things really do work out for the best, and I hope you get to say the same!

Good luck.

Get ahold of Corning Inc., they are working on some hush hush things that involve advanced coatings.
