Need a little help from fellow nj members. I plan on adding a longer forearm to my bushy carbine but need to figure out how to deal with the fsb.

Since I can't remove the muzzle brake can anybody suggest a low profile gas block that clamps on. I found one by yankee hill but was looking for other options.

My other thought was cutting and trimming my fsb like shown in the build it yourself
section. Any thoughts on doing this while still attached to the rifle.

Thanks for looking

Alan, the only one I'm aware of as well, is the Yankee Hill Specter

I have seen members cut down their front sight and gas blocks - takes quite a bit of rounding out however, and to replace the finish you removed with the cutting is a pain.

Have you considered another option such as free float handguards with the FSB cut-outs such as the ones from Troy MRF-CX or Samson STAR-CX-EBR or STAR-CX.  With these, you wouldn't have to do anything with the factory FSB and just cut off the delta ring/remove spring.

I've often kicked around the idea of going with a flip up front site, but the way I see it - one more thing that could "go wrong" - just a thought.
