I am pretty sure T&T (in Seaford) does AR "smitty" work.

No idea what there rates are but they have worked on my 30.06 and .308

I here that. That f'ing idiot took 2 AK's of mine that I wanted him to perm attach the slant brakes on. Rifles came back with no threads or brakes attached. I would like to choke the hell out of that guy!

My guess is they do want to get jammed in any way shape or form with NYS AWB crap.
They would rather avoid "modifications" all together.

I deal with Campsite often (they are my local shop) and they have been very helpful, no issues at all.

When I asked this question I was basically told there are none on LI, and to use Adco.  I did, and I'm happy with the result.

Yes.... before you leave your guns with any "gunsmith" or gunshop, try and find out if they're really doing the work. Many will just send them out and add on a percentage.

My local shop also. I haven't bought anyone of my guns from any other shop but Campsite.(quite a few too) However, I would have liked to have been told that their smith would do this to my AK's. If they had a problem with me possessing the rifles as is (which they did) I would have sent them back and had them pinned before they arrived to NY. To top it all off, a few weeks later I see that they have an identical AK for sale WITH the brake attached. I asked WTF and they said Ah, just put a little jb weld on it and it would be fine! Don't get me wrong, the guys there are great to deal with, it's just in this one particular instance that pissed me off.
