Guys, Can a New Yorker buy a rifle that is not NY AWB legal on line and have it shipped to a FFL in NY and have the FFL neuter the thing to make it NY AWB legal? |

depends on 2 things. 1 if the seller will ship it to the NY FFL and 2 if the NY FFL has the ability and is willing to make the changes. The big thing is the shop may be required to have a "manufacturer's license" to do so. For example, The Sig 556, from what I understand, they do not make without a telestock. My local shop, B&J, get the guns, send them to SAMS(another shop nearby with a mfg license) and have the stocks pinned, and the FS replaced with a break. Though the price of the work may make it cheaper to have the local shop order you a new AR... |
