my lower receiver shipped to PA?

I applied for (and will get within this century) my NJ FID and Pistol Permit.  I applied for them March 1st.  After applying for my NJ stuff, I also applied for my FL concealed permit which I received on April 4th.

Since I have my FL CCW, can I have my lower receiver shipped to an FFL in PA and pick it up there since I can carry in PA and bring it home (with a legal transport, locked in trunk, etc.)

I'm just curious because I paid for the lower already and I'd rather have it in my possession.

Thanks guys...

I am not a lawyer...

Sure, why not?  I don't think the PA FFL will transfer the lower to you, but you can certainly have it shipped there.

I've never bought a long arm out of state, but my understanding is that if you are a NJ resident you have to abide by NJ law, and that most PA gun shops are (at least vaguely) familiar with NJ law and will expect you to have a NJ FID.

Since I have my FL CCW,

Apples and oranges; being able to carry a weapon in PA has nothing to do with your ability to buy/receive a weapon there.

Again: I am not a lawyer, this is not legal advice, yadda yadda yadda, in conclusion I don't think you can do what you want to do.

ok, that makes 100 percent sense..  I'll just wait a few extra weeks (or months), lol.

Thank you again.

Ive had longarms shipped to a PA FFL, and then went and picked them up. All you need is the ID card and a C.O.E, but it is all dependent on the FFL.. Most of my longarms came from PA.

If you have your lower shipped to a PA FFL, you still have to go thru the whole background check and all. You'll just save a bit on the NICS (PICS in PA) fee. You will still need your NJ FID & COC.
