Ok, who's  the best candidate? Republican that is. McCain seems way too liberal for me,  but the others IMHO would not do well against the Democratic candidate. Since Fred dropped out I'm depressed.

I'm in the same predicament. I was going to vote for Fred. The best I could do would be to write him in but fat chance anyone else will do that. McCain seems to be the less evil of all the others. I just wish he was for smaller government, stop illegal immigration, and super pro 2A. Well I'm about to leave so when I close the curtain I will make the choice of the less evil of all of them. Hell I might vote for Paul just hoping he would win one state.

The GOP nomination is boiling down to a choice between John McCain or Mitt Romney.

This is the deal on McCain & Romney.

Romney voted antigun while governor of Massachusetts. He’s made some lame pro-gun overtures since starting his campaign.

McCain used to be solidly pro-gun up until about 10 years ago when his NRA rating dropped from an A to a current C+. He’s still modestly pro-gun directly, but indirectly attacks NRA and gun rights via so-called “campaign finance reform.”

Of the two, Romney is the better choice. The problem with McCain is he hates the GOP. He’s spent the last 10+ years attacking the party and building his career and presidential campaign on trashing Republicans and their values. Hence his big drop from A to C+. I believe McCain will do the exact same thing nationally that George Pataki did to the state party: pander to the far left, push their agenda eventually including gun control, and in the process of doing so, wipe out pro-gun reps. in Congress all across the country.

Stop voting for the lesser of evils, that is what got us in this mess to begin with, and start voting on principle, for freedom, and liberty, and prosperity.  that pretty much leaves only one candidate who understands what the job description entails...........any guesses

I'm clueless because they all seem like they want to create more laws which equal less freedom.

Three votes for Ron Paul in my household today. My Daughter wouldn't say who she voted for however.

I supported Fred till the end. I voted for Ron Paul because he's the only conservative left in the race.

I was going to vote McCain but as soon as I closed the curtain I couldn't help staring the the Ron Paul lever. It just seemed like he was the most conservative and saw more views the way I saw them. So I said "fuck it" and pulled down the Ron Paul lever.

I knew McCain was going to take NY but I feel good for who I voted for.
