Can NY residents own the GSG-5 22cal rifle with the 22 round mags, or do we need the mags blocked like CA residents??? Thanks |
| blocking will not do it, mags will need to be made 10 rounders permanently. Blocking is what you do with mags that take more than 5 rounds when deer hunting. A post-ban highcap that is blocked to hold only 10 rounds is still a post ban high cap in my opinion... too risky. |
OK how about "permanently modified to hold no more than 10 rounds"  not just putting a block in the mag but making it so it can no longer hold any more than 10 rounds. Additionally GSG will be importing 10 round mags for it soon so hopefully this won't be much of a problem at all. I have one on order and I'm wondering if the 10 rounders will get here by the time the gun is ready to ship. |
| fixed stock, no flash hider... you can have a pistol grip and a detachable mag. Buy the rifle and just trade your 22 rounders for 10 rounders. Never take possession of the 22 rounders, leave em at the shop and bring the shop a prepaid priority mailer to send them to whomever you are trading with. |
Currently, the gun isn't even coming into the state with a mag so I'll be all set for when the 10 rounders come out. Having the gun and no mag will be admittedly painful though!
