http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=42590&d=1202067455 I see its offered with a fixed stock. So this would be totally legal. Except idk what they plan on doing with the Flash hiders. Im hoping there is a Pre-ban model with legal specs. |
hotified. ps: for those that have not been paying attention to the recent going-on's with the Magpul Masada: bushmaster.com/press_release_013108.asp ar-jedi |
If Aubertine beats Barclay will may all wish we could do that. www.wstm.com/news/news_story.aspx?id=89032Barclay SHOULD be able to win up here, but you never know |

Did you guys see the Future Weapons episode which featured the Masada? www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJhPMIVgF6c Loving the AK version! |
Magpul stated early on their target was around $1400. Now that Bushmaster has brought its resources and manufacturing might into the equation, the price may be even lower. There was a post from a SHOT attendee that asserted the price of the standard 16" carbine (with NY-legal fixed stock) will be around $1200. However, if that figure is indeed accurate, the ACR won't cost much more than a mid-price range custom AR, less than a SIG 556, less than than an entry XCR, wayyyy less than the civvie SCAR-L (at an estimated $1800), and you get a whole lot more... such as the ability to run 5.45x39 from Polish AK-74 mags through with a quick change in the barrel, lower and bolt; or the ability to change from a 14.5" carbine length w/permanent muzzle brake (legal 16") to an 18" rifle length SPR with the swap of a barrel and stock. You get an integral front BUIS and a Magpul rear BUIS with the rifle. You can swap from .223 to 7.62x39 to 5.45x39 to 6.8 with one receiver if you buy the kit for it. If you move to a free state, all it takes is a simple parts swap to make your NY-legal ACR into an evil no-ban rifle. Honestly, I'd gladly pay more for what you get on this rifle. |
Barclay isn't gonna run/live forever either.. its good to have a back up plan. The dabates will be interesting. |
Will's not that old, maybe you're thinking of Doug? PA would be kind of a long commute.... |
Just a bit off topic I would guess. |
