I see its offered with a fixed stock. So this would be totally legal. Except idk what they plan on doing with the Flash hiders. Im hoping there is a Pre-ban model with legal specs.

We'll see, the wife lost her employment and a significantly better offer may be in the works. I may have to stay and hide my stuff in PA, or move the 6 miles south after i ditch.

Huh, the "precision" one has no flash suppressor, that was not true in previous pictures, neat.

edit PA has excellent gun laws, I almost wish the g/f had stayed there.

The Bushmaster ACR looks a bit different then the Masada. The charging handle is above the barrel like a HK and there is no brass deflector behind the ejection port. Makes me wonder what's up with the redesign.

If Aubertine beats Barclay will may all wish we could do that.  www.wstm.com/news/news_story.aspx?id=89032

Barclay SHOULD be able to win up here, but you never know

Bushmaster has no problems permanently installing a muzzle brake on a threaded barrel for you.

Will there be a NY SEBR model?  How much????????

Of course, there always is a ban state legal rifle.  No word on MSRP yet, though.

According to GoatBoy, there will also be a DSA FAL SEBR at some point.

Here is the rendering.  I modified it to make it NY Legal by pasting on the FSC556 compensator.

ETA: I was told by a bunch of people here at one point the fixed stock model in fact has a collapsing stock.  I don't know where that came from other than it looks like a UBR.  Looking at the pictures from SHOT, their info is wrong; the middle rifle in the pictures of the ACR display is indeed equipped with a fixed stock, as up-close photos reveal it lacks any locking position hardware prevalent on collapsing stocks.  It is fastened right into the receiver.

That one in the photo is meant for us.

Magpul stated early on their target was around $1400.  Now that Bushmaster has brought its resources and manufacturing might into the equation, the price may be even lower.  There was a post from a SHOT attendee that asserted the price of the standard 16" carbine (with NY-legal fixed stock) will be around $1200.  Now, I have no idea whether this is accurate or not, so don't quote me.

However, if that figure is indeed accurate, the ACR won't cost much more than a mid-price range custom AR, less than a SIG 556, less than than an entry XCR, wayyyy less than the civvie SCAR-L (at an estimated $1800), and you get a whole lot more... such as the ability to run 5.45x39 from Polish AK-74 mags through with a quick change in the barrel, lower and bolt; or the ability to change from a 14.5" carbine length w/permanent muzzle brake (legal 16") to an 18" rifle length SPR with the swap of a barrel and stock.

You get an integral front BUIS and a Magpul rear BUIS with the rifle.  You can swap from .223 to 7.62x39 to 5.45x39 to 6.8 with one receiver if you buy the kit for it.  If you move to a free state, all it takes is a simple parts swap to make your NY-legal ACR into an evil no-ban rifle.

Honestly, I'd gladly pay more for what you get on this rifle.

So about an estimate of 1200 eh? Im totally happy with that haha even if its a little higher. I only figured it would be pricey due to the amount of crap you can do with it.

Umm, that's a good thing. At least it takes regular preban M16 mags and not proprietary mags that would have to be limited to only ten rounds.

I could see Bushmaster putting their AK brake or Izzy comp on it at the buyers request. They have been good about helping those in ban states by making ban compliant rifles and components.
