im a new guy here and just needed some clarification. i tried looking for what the law allows but the way its written just seems to confuse me more. i take it that ar's aren't banned in NJ, but there are some restrictions. how can you legally own an AR in jersey? it's like you can have one but it can't have this if it has that and you gotta change this for that. its a tad confusing. so can anyone clarify this in an easier to understand way. thanks |
| ok. so instead of the flash suppressors, we need muzzle brakes? care to divulge what muzzle brakes are? also, barrels can be no shorter than 16in, right? and hopefully this is the last question, is an a2 shorty stock illegal?? is there a certain length the overall rifle has to be? sorry for so many questions, i just figured that after the assault ban was over we would be allowed to have all the fun stuff, but i just found out a few days ago that jersey sucks ass. |
Flash suppressors are open on the end, think big opening. Muzzle brakes have a small opening, like the rifle I posted above. You can also have a plain barrel.
Right, overall length is 16". The carbine I have pictured has a 14.5" barrel with a muzzle brake that brings its overall length to 16"
As long as the stock is fixed, it is not a problem. The A2 entry stock is fine. I'm not sure about the overall length requirements. Jersey does suck ass and will probably get worse. Better to ask here than to buy something that you can't use. Good luck. |
