Who will be attending the Valley Forge Gun Show this week? I plan to attend either Friday night or Sat morning. On my hit list will be magazines for my Glocks and Berettas, 5.56 ammo (I will have the brinks truck ready) and a Colt 6920 if I can locate one (it will stay in PA). They had a Colt 6920 in July but the dealer would not sell to me even though I told him the gun would stay in PA. He saw my NJ driver license and turned white with fear. I was not overly impressed with the number of vendors in July and the lack of selection. I spoke with someone in charge of the event and they told me the fire marshall required them to cut back on the number of tables (about 40 tables less). Maybe some of us can meet up and say hi. Ken |

I was not impressed with the Friday show in July. I arrived around 6pm and many of the dealers where either still setting up or not present. Friday is good if you are another dealer (they get the best deals first) or just want to view the goods before the masses of the general public when it can get really crowded. Since I do not like crowds I like Friday night since I do not have to fight the crowds. Saturday morning should be fine but the crowds are crazy until later in the day. Ken |
Don't count on them still being available on Sunday. Last show I made was Saturday afternoon and the reloading guys were sold out of most everything. If you are planning on saving on shipping fees you may want to call the dealer and have him bring the stuff you want for pick up at the show. I know Tony from TNT used to do this for you. |

Ended up going this morning. Got everything on my list for relaoding. 3000 rounds of .45 ACP 230 grain RN bullets and 1000 .45LC 250 grain bullets. 5000 mixed Winchester primers and 4 lbs. of powder. Highest price I saw on .223 ammo was Federal at $479.00 a case of 1000. Even saw Wolf .223 for $125.00 per 500 round case. I'm sure glad I reload!!! |
| The Valley Forge Show has been steadily going down hill. This show was only slightly better than the one in June which certainly wasn't worth the $8 admission. From talking to some of the vendors it appears that alot of them do not like the promoter of the show. Just my 2 cents. |
