Can't help on NJ laws, but can say I LIKE my Sub 2000.
Mine is in a Glock 17 config. It's fun to run pre-ban
33 rd. mags in her. Trigger might suck at first but she is
getting better all after every mag(@ 300 fired).
If she doesn't get "more better",she is going back to
Kel-Tec for a trigger job.
I would get a Glock 19 model. Opens up your choice of
mags. Not sure how much shorter the grip is though.
If you do get one,get one of the Tel-tec cases for it.
It works very well.

It's legal in NJ. Just remember no mags over 15 rounds.

I have one in Glock 22 configuration.

If you like the folding feature and the Glock mag compatibility then it is a great cheap rifle to play with.

If one is looking for a well built, high quality pistol caliber carbine then one should look to the Beretta Storm.

The adage "You get what you pay for" comes to mind in this case.
