Today was the first time that I took my  rifle to the range that my wife got me for x-mas and I'm really hyped.  She purchased me a remington 700 adl 30.06 with out a scope. From what I was told is a pretty low end remington but the gun shot good.  At 50 yards i was able to get some pretty good groupings and with a iron sights!  I was told by one of the range officers that the gun was a good one and the only thing I need to purchase is a mid range scope for around $100.00.  I didn't realize today how enjoyable target shooting is and I look forward to going again.

I just wanted to let you guys know.

Don't buy a scope based on price. You will not be happy with it and will end up junking it and buying a better scope.

The ARFCOM Optics Forum is a good place to go for  scope recomendations.

Look at the Bushnell 3200 Elite. It's a real nice scope for the money. I think Cheaper Than Dirt had the best price.
